MADHOUSE - The Album

Professionally transferred from the original vinyl. Due to constant requests and growing interest, we offer the 1984 Madhouse Album. Monica's early punk outfit, Madhouse, performed alongside Washington D.C. harDCore bands such as SOA, Bad Brains, as well as Circle Jerks, Xmal Deutschland, and UK Subs. This album was released in 1984 on Fountain of Youth records, though we find the original vinyl available from time to time at outlandish prices. Also included are two unreleased tracks that never made it on the album. This is an unofficial release, each disc hand-burned. 2 Page Booklet with a mini-bio and photos.

MONICA EARLY DEMOS

MONICA RICHARDS - 1982-1983

Available through popular demand! Here is a 4 song CDR of the first recordings of Monica Richards as a singer. Monica sang for Hate From Ignorance in 1982, it was the second band she fronted. They performed a number of shows in support of bands including Circle Jerks, Bad Brains, and Meat Puppets. "My first time singing was for a band with the guys who later formed 'No Trend'. I shouted like Wendy O. Williams at that time. When I joined Hate From Ignorance, I started doing my Wendy thing during our first rehearsal and they all stopped playing. 'Sing like a girl', they said, so I sang in a very high-pitched voice. Everyone who has heard this recording doesn't recognize me, but I was very young at the time and just learning how to sing." - MR
